Meet the Artist Behind The Little Brush

Hi! I'm Maddie, the artist and instructor behind The Little Brush.

I earned my Fine Art degree and spent years teaching painting classes before starting The Little Brush. While I love creating art, my favorite part has always been teaching it. I love helping kids and adults build creative skills, grow their confidence, and experience the joy of making art in a welcoming, encouraging environment.

The Little Brush began in Nashville with mobile paint parties, bringing guided painting experiences directly to homes and local venues. As the business grew, so did my passion for art education. Today, I offer everything from private lessons and multi-week classes to school enrichment programs and creative events for all ages. Whether you're planning a paint night, looking for art lessons, or bringing a creative program to your school or organization, you're in the right place.

My Teaching Approach

Good art instruction should help without taking over. My students get real demonstrations and honest feedback, plus plenty of time to actually practice, but I also want them to feel free to experiment and finish with something that looks like their own work, not a copy of mine. It’s important to me to help people build real skills while still trusting their own ideas.
